The Castello di Pergolato is a beautiful example of a Tuscan Medieval castle, set on a panoramic hill in the Chianti region, 14 km (9 miles) from Florence overlooking the valley of the river Pesa.
Built on the foundations of a Roman settlement in the 10th century by the Buondelmonti family, who ruled the surrounding area as the Imperial Visidomani, the feudal castle was internally converted to a villa between 1450 and 1500.
 
The castle, now over 1,000 years old, has been restored by its present owners and transformed into a luxury holiday residence.
Inside its fortified walls, guests can enjoy a large garden, a wonderful, panoramic swimming pool, and an equipped patio for outdoor dining.
 
The castle can host 19 people.A huge central hall opens into an arched patio facing the pool and a vast panoramic view of the Tuscan hills. There are several living rooms, a formal dining room and a large recreation room with terrace, 11 bedrooms most with en-suite bathrooms: 2 master bedrooms, 6 doubles and 3 singles.
Not Included in rental price, but available on request, are maid service, the chef service, for breakfast, food shopping, lunch or dinner.
 
Castello di Pergolato offers its clients different solutions. The castle can be rented with a minimum of services up to the maximum organisation. It can be rented as a simple accommodation (B&B style) for people who have meals outside of the accomodation and want to tour a lot, or with a high standard restaurant service and cleaning service for those who want to enjoy the majority of their time in the house.
It is requested that clients decide at the time of the booking if they will need the cleaning or restaurant services.
