THE ARENA OF VERONA
The Arena of Verona is famous for its opera season, however, for many years, it has been the scene of major rock concerts, pop, musicals and even a few years, as the successful Giulietta e Romeo Cocciante likely to become annual event. The acoustics of the Arena, surprising opera singers who do not use the microphone, is also perfect for the powerful speaker systems for rock concerts. The sound is not ruined by the echo as it happens for large stages and it seems that even the surf rock star feel much emotion to sing in an old amphitheater of thousand years. The concerts at the Arena are often turned into memorable performances. And were the memorable concerts of Pink Floyd in the eighties and more recently the musical by Riccardo Cocciante.
